If you are a civil society organisation or an independent body and wish to report problems encountered in the access to, and exercise, of social and economic rights of persons or groups, you can send us the relevant information through this secure online form. You can also use the form to highlight good practices which reinforce respect for social and economic rights, considered in an integrated human rights perspective.

What happens next:

– The alert is received and managed by the administrator of the tracking platform and the project team.
– The alert is fact-checked independently by our civil society team and experts and evaluated in accordance with the Council of Europe and international standards. The project team will determine if the relevance, urgency, or scale of the issues justify further request of information or clarification.
– After validation, the project team publishes the alert on the tracking website accompanied by additional documents, if relevant.
– The Action for Social Rights Committee of the Conference of INGOs may undertake specific actions or recommend these actions to the Conference of INGOs at the Council of Europe. Their analysis will be made public and accessible on the dedicated section of the Social Rights Tracker website.
– The Conference of INGOs may undertake the actions to raise awareness and inform the public, relevant authorities and Council of Europe and EU bodies, about the situation.
– Actions may include, but are not limited to, statements, declarations, communications, dialogue with the European Committee for Social Rights or relevant EU bodies, visits to the countries concerned, targeted co-operation and assistance activities with NGOs to establish and write collective complaints under the European Social Charter.

Ethical, consent and confidentiality aspects

– The Tracker will not collect any personal information regarding individuals mentioned in the alert, nor any confidential information. If your organisation wishes to disclose its name, as an author of alert, we can do so, however it is not mandatory.
– If the sender wishes to mention their name on the Social Tracker website, they authorise the Social Tracker Team to publish their logo and any social media sources related to the publication.
– A consent form, informing you as contributor about the objectives, procedures, benefits, potential risks, and disadvantages, needs to be electronically signed by the contributor to the Social Rights Tracker.
– If the alert contains testimonies which could identify individuals or groups, the sender (CSO) needs to obtain the written consent of the concerned persons or organisations for the publication of the alert.
– Any documents certifying the reported situation must be anonymised by the contributor prior to publication.
– The opinions expressed and published on the Social Rights Tracker website are the responsibility of the sender.
– The sender must inform the Social Rights Tracker team of any possible prejudice that the physical person or organisations concerned by the publication may encounter.
– The Social Rights Tracker team will send the draft article for approval before publication. The approval or request for request for modification should be sent within 5 days after its receipt.
– Publications involving copyrights will be published under the author’s name.
– All documents, including consent forms and field evidence, will be stored on a secure server of the Conference of INGOs, for internal management purposes. The data is not rented, exchanged, or sold to third parties. They are not transferred outside the European Union. The information collected is kept for a period strictly necessary for the above-mentioned purposes.
– In accordance with the regulations relating to the protection of personal data, the contributor may access the personal data they have provided, request their rectification, limitation, or deletion, and oppose their use, by contacting the Social Rights Tracker team on contact@socialrightstracker.eu.
